Basi Italia Restaurant Review:
Tucked away on an alley-like street in the heart of Victorian Village, the restaurant seats a cozy 26 and features simple, seasonal Italian fare. The duck flatbread with caramelized fig-onion jam, sweet potato gnocchi, lamb bolognese, and the mustard crusted golden trout all are memorable. Eggplant Parmesan is corn flour-dusted and served with marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil pesto. Warm weather adds outdoor seating on a courtyard terrace, a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine from an extensive list (check out Vino on the Veranda --- a regular wine tasting). The beer list includes options from the artisanal Rockmill Brewery.
