Binh Minh Quan Restaurant Review:
Bình Minh Quán's huge menu has a decidedly Franco-Viet bent, with venison (butter grilled tableside) and frogs' legs as well as the more familiar noodle soups, shaking beef and crispy imperial rolls. Thirst-quenching salads are sauced with a pleasingly pungent fish sauce dressing and lots of fragrant chopped herbs. Jicama rolls, rice paper cigars filled with dried shrimp, jicama, egg and Chinese sausage, eat like a Vietnamese version of the American breakfast sandwich. Entrées are generally unremarkable, though the fire pots, giant cauldrons of hot broth accompanied by a mixture of raw meats, fish and vegetables, are a tasty choice for do it yourselfers who don’t mind getting their hands dirty.
