THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery Restaurant Review:
Amidst the city’s growing and thriving craft brew scene, Blackstone is one of the old standbys. With its dark and cozy pub-like confines, Blackstone offers a tried-and-true stable of beers including a porter based on co-founder Kent Taylor’s homebrew recipe (and named for his son). A refreshing pale ale, a velvety brown ale, a red ale, an American pale ale and Stephanie’s Dubbel, a Belgian Trappist beer, round out the roster, along with seasonal offerings. If you can’t decide, order the sampler. Comfort food such as shepherd’s pie, soft pretzels with mustards, and a jalapeño beer cheese option are fine accompaniments. Desserts aren’t the star of this show, although there is a dark chocolate cake. But we suggest capping off the meal with a chocolaty stout.
