Bourbon Street Shrimp & Grill Restaurant Review:
The specialty at this Cajun eatery is shrimp from the Gulf, and the famous spicy sauce is found in many of its dishes. The bright red façade and interior make it easy to find in a burgeoning block along Pico Boulevard. The menu features starters like popcorn shrimp, sautéed shrimp in a garlic sauce on cheese bread, and corn bisque. Louisiana standard large plates include po' boy sandwiches, gumbo, jambalaya with smoked sausage, and etouffée. Even Cajun tacos and quesadillas are on order, making this a true SoCal-Big Easy hybrid. For dessert, skip all else except the buttery bread pudding. Though there are a few wines and a full bar, beer is the optimal choice for pairing with the food.
