Brady's Tavern Restaurant Review:

Irish pub, neighborhood gathering place and sports bar, Matt Brady's joint features booths lining the walls and large-screen TVs to provide constant entertainment. This place has a longstanding reputation as a friendly spot to drop in for hearty fare, like The Famous One, a half-pound burger. Brady's chili is ladled into an edible bread bowl and topped with shredded cheddar, onions and sour cream. If that doesn't warm your insides, try the specialty grilled chicken Caesar sandwich or the baby-back ribs. Curly fries and homemade onion rings are the sides of choice. Also on the menu is a Detroit classic: a Maurice salad, made with smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, green olives, hard-boiled eggs and sweet relish, served over crisp lettuce with namesake dressing. Then again, who can resist an order of that old 50s mainstay, crunchy fried clam strips? Want more upscale fare? Try the Maryland crab cakes or seafood fettuccine. For dessert, there's banana-caramel fried cheesecake, carrot cake or chocolate lava cake. Watch for drink discounts during happy hour and on Detroit game days.
