Carrabba's Italian Grill Restaurant Review:
The well-crafted, extensive menu, a consistent performer for a corporate-driven restaurant chain, draws a lot of families. Not only is there a kids’ menu (for guests 10 and under), but older patrons watching their weight may choose from options that are under 600 calories. Some good general bets are calamari, fresh mussels in white wine, wood-fired pizzas and decent pasta dishes that sometimes have a few too many elements but are always tasty. For main courses, check out the daily specials. Braised short ribs on risotto are surprisingly well done, but that's a seasonal selection offered chiefly in colder weather. Steaks are quite good and there's some flexibility in the kitchen. Care to have your filet not Florentine but a la Marsala? They'll do it. Portions are ample. The wine list has some good choices for the cuisine, and many wines are available by the generous glass. This unit is one of the oldest in the metro Atlanta area, and is handy if one is attending performances at Spivey Hall or shopping at Southlake Mall.
