Cisco's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Two outdoor patios and a tropical setting lend an easygoing vibe to lunch or dinner at this four decade-old Conejo Valley Mexican restaurant. The bar is stocked with El Jimador tequila, which is used in the margaritas. In place of lard, the cooks use canola oil. Salads, unfortunately, are a bit tired, and the salad dressings are far too sharp with vinegar. Stick to Americanized versions of Mexican classics: enchiladas, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tostadas and albondigas soup. And do get the tableside-made guacamole. Happy hour lasts from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. during the week, with “super happy hour” prices until 4 p.m. There’s a reasonable Champagne brunch on Sundays. You can sit in the bar area, the main dining room, or on one of the aforementioned patios (out front, or the one that’s covered on the side of this freestanding building). Also located at 925 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
