D’Amico’s Italian Market is more than just a spot in Rice Village to stop for a bottle of extra virgin olive oil or some imported cheeses. Nash D’Amico also operates a deli and a sit-down café here, with some surprisingly delightful Sicilian fare. Besides the kid-favorite wood-fired pizzas, adults linger over special lunch pasta portions served with side salads and house favorites like the chicken Armando, sautéed chicken breast crusted with Romano cheese, topped with roasted red bell peppers, rosemary and capers in a lemon butter white wine sauce with linguine marinara. Whether lunch or dinner, start with a curated antipasto plate and glass of chilled rosé. Bonus points for the affogato --- coffee poured over gelato --- and house-made cannoli.
