Ditch Plains Restaurant Review:

Anchored on the quaint Bedford and Downing intersection in the West Village, Ditch Plains is a spin-off from Marc Murphy (of Landmarc fame). The chic and smart design --- dark wood paneling, high ceilings --- belie the restaurant’s Long Island clam shack theme. Named after a famous Montauk surf spot, the restaurant dishes up a bevy of fish and seafood plates including lobster rolls, Parmesan-encrusted salmon, and roasted branzino, while turf items lean toward the comfort zone with smaller-than-normal but juicy burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese, and chicken potpies. All are served in casual baskets (coffee is poured in to-go cups). It’s unlikely you’ll find any shaggy surfers here taking in a post-plunge bite. But then again, they probably wouldn’t fit in anyway.
