San Bruno residents pack this large Mexican bistro serving family-style classic fare. The menu is enormous --- there are 14 seafood dishes alone. Go for the carnitas Yucatan, shredded pork marinated in citrus and slow-braised. Traditional “combination platters” are also good. Ingredients are locally grown and organic, including Niman Ranch meats, which elevates Don Pico’s above most typical taquerias. A full bar and cevicheria as well as ample happy hour specials lend festive appeal.
