Eddie's House Restaurant Review:

Chef-owner Eddie Matney's eponymous restaurant showcases his signature Lebanese-Mediterranean-eclectic American cuisine, which he made famous in his first restaurant way back in the 1980s. Is old new again? It might be, considering menu classics like Mo’Rockin’ shrimp, mint pesto-grilled lamb chops, fattoush, seafood potpie and the fish duo of sesame tuna with bok choy and Parmesan-crusted halibut with asparagus risotto. Of course, there's also Eddie's signature meatloaf with country mashed potatoes and wild forest mushroom gravy. But in a modern touch, portions are also offered as adaptable small plates. Look for lots of fresh and local ingredients, too, and seasonal daily specials such as a dish of pomegranate-chili barbecue chicken. Matney's annual “lobster mania” each summer and fall has become a popular attraction. Whatever the flavors, Matney’s larger-than-life personality is a guaranteed success, drawing folks who are as much a fan of his antics as they are of his creative cooking.
