El Camion Cantina Restaurant Review:
Deep in the East Village, this affordable sit-down Mexican eatery serves up the classics along with strong drinks to wash them down. Margaritas (both on the rocks and, the cheaper, frozen) are always flowing here, as locals tuck into mountainous nachos (more cheese please!) and pork, chicken and steak tacos by the pair (which are tiny) as well as decent but dryer-than-they-should-be tamales. The colorful murals and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto Avenue A add a feast for the eyes. Service is friendly and knowledgeable for the indecisive.
