Emily's Lebanese Deli Restaurant Review:

Whenever we have a hankering for the refreshing taste of homemade tabbouleh, we head directly to Emily's in Northeast Minneapolis. This small, very unpretentious rec room of a restaurant spares every decorating expense and puts its energies instead into gregarious service and inexpensive Middle Eastern food. For starters, we usually request the aforementioned tabbouleh---cold and crisp with the right amount of mint---along with the baba ghanouj and hummus. Entrées we like sharing are the platters of tangy dolmas (grapes leaves stuffed with rice in a lemon sauce), slightly sweet, stuffed zucchini and briny cabbage rolls filled with seasoned ground beef. Emily's also puts together a lovely spinach pie; lamb, beef and chicken kebabs; and baklava.
