Featherstone's Grille Restaurant Review:

Open to the public, the restaurant in this private golf and tennis community offers Southern-style fine dining. The interior is clubhouse contemporary, rich in woods and very masculine. The menu focuses on popular Southern specialties such as shrimp and grits, giving it a Louisiana spin by blackening the shrimp and adding a touch of andouille sausage. Fried green tomatoes on the lunch menu also speak in fine Southern tones. There are good seafood dishes, such as scallops, crab cakes done Louisiana style served with a rémoulade sauce, fish and steak. But watch out for the embellishments --- honey and chipotle on a filet mignon? Order them on the side until you’re sure you want to go down that road. Wine pairings drawn from a familiar California repertoire are suggested with each main. Carrot cake for dessert will be available if your luck holds out.
