THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fedora Restaurant Review:

Descend into this historic space and admire the photos of Warhol with Basquiat, Muhammad Ali and Jay-Z that line the walls. Nab a spot at the 16-seat bar, part of which has been around since the early 1900's, and peruse the well-curated wine list on which you’ll find a reasonably priced bottle no matter what your geographic inclinations. With elements both familiar and fresh, owner Gabriel Stulman adds another gem to his West Village crown with Fedora. Warm up to the supper club vibe with intricate concoctions such as 445 North Locust Street made with rum, Dimmi Liquore di Milano, orange and allspice. Add hearty dishes created by Mehdi Brunet-Benkritly (from Montreal’s Au Pied de Cochon) and you have yourself an evening. Cod fritters are light and crispy. Tender beets in jewel tones meld sweetly with candied pecans. We also suggest the humbly offered Egg in a Hole with tripe ragoût. The pork chop for two with scallion pancakes and pickled vegetables is a lot like the space itself: a classic with an updated twist. Desserts may include apple crumble pie or warm madeleines with maple syrup sabayon.
