The Green Onion Restaurant Review:

Despite a name that sounds like that of a vegan haven or a trendy latch-on to the wholesale (though laudable) greening of America, The Green Onion is an eclectic bistro with both Euro-centric and contemporary American sensibilities, plus Asian and Caribbean accents here and there. The name is emblematic of this cool, cosmopolitan eatery’s value on freshness and budding professionalism. While there is ample fare to sate non-meat eaters, such as stuffed zucchini with broccolini, goat cheese and butternut cream sauce, one may also opt for the duck Cordon Bleu with manchego, Surry ham, peas and poached egg or braised short rib with saffron creamed corn and vanilla barbecue sauce (which sounds nearly as sweet as the coffee cake bread pudding for dessert). Seafood surfaces, too, as in seared scallops with lobster cheesecake and a beurre blanc. And 120 pounds of mussels may be downed before each Wednesday’s all-you-can-eat dinner special is through. Natuzzi lounge, popping with chartreuse couches and cozy conversation corners, more than doubles the still-intimate restaurant’s size, and makes it a sophisticated setting for apéritifs and cheese boards or night caps.
