The Grill Room & Bar Menu
Chef Harding Lee Smith elevates lunch and dinner dishes with the use of local ingredients and a wood-fired oven.
The Grill Room & Bar Restaurant Review:
An intensely hot wood-fired oven makes just about every dish taste better than the usual at The Grill Room & Bar. The menu is extensive and offers many ways to dine, from sharing snacks to enjoying a four-course meal. Start with simple wood-fire roasted olives or the more elegant grilled foie gras with a smoked tomato vinaigrette. Be sure to sample an oyster dish, either on the half shell or oven roasted. Fish lovers may want to try the yellowfin tuna with soy marinade, shishito fried wild rice, golden carrot purée and ginger beets. Or choose from a long list of wood-grilled meats and fish served à la carte. Order sides like German fried potatoes, organic carrots or oven-roasted mushrooms. For lighter fare, there’s a wood-fired lobster pizza with shallots, ricotta salata, lobster cream, garlic, Parmesan and scallion. Desserts are robust, such as carrot cake with walnuts, caramel sauce and cream cheese frosting topped with vanilla gelato. The bar scene is hopping, and staff goes all out to assist with the menu, which has topnotch cocktails such as the Ruby Slipper with grapefruit vodka, orange liqueur, pomegranate juice, fresh lemon juice and Prosecco. The wine list is quite decent, too.
