Hodad's Restaurant Review:

Hodad’s motto is “No shirt, No shoes, No problem.” The rock music is loud, the servers sport myriad tattoos, and the décor is part retro diner, part auto body shop. We like the funny license plates on the walls and the edgy vibe. Enjoy some good people-watching while trying to eat one of the mammoth, messy burgers. Fries and onion rings are nothing to scoff at either --- thick, wedge-cut potatoes and onions are batter-dipped and deep-fried to a crunchy turn. Hodad’s is not for the faint of heart or, for that matter, anyone on a diet. But there is a nice veggie burger if you'd like something meatless with your fries. Burgermeister Mike Hardin has been in Ocean Beach since 1969, serving up burgers to the locals.
