THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hudson Cafe Restaurant Review:

Owned by the people who brought you Mole, the small chain of Mexican eateries in New York (an outlet of which is on the same block), Hudson Café is a sandwich and salad spot by day and a Mediterranean restaurant by night, when the lights dim and the tableside candles flicker, and French music seeps from the speakers. Start with a salad of octopus, potatoes and parsley, and a bowl of the shaved Brussels sprouts. The beet salad with toasted pistachios and goat cheese is also a refreshing option. Then move on to the ultra-thick and hearty Moroccan-spiced lamb chop (with couscous accompaniment) or the fennel-spiked salmon. The wine list is small but there are some very affordable options by the glass or bottle. Service can be inattentive at times, so when you want something be prepared to flag someone down.
