Island Cuisine Restaurant Review:

Jamaican staples such as ackee and codfish, coco bread and jerk entrées are all available at this storefront shop. There are a few seats inside but mainly it's a take-away business. We recommend the jerk chicken, a spicy quarter bird that's fall-apart tender and infused with a lovely smoky aroma. It's set over a mound of brown rice cooked with pigeon peas. Daily specials feature delicacies such as curry shrimp, curry goat, oxtail and tripe and beans. As part of the daily lineup, you'll always find stewed chicken, jerk chicken, curry chicken, fried chicken, steamed fish and pepper steak. The portions are generous and the prices low.
