Jeffrey's Restaurant Review:

Visiting celebrities, politicos and epicureans are spellbound by the innovative Texas cuisine that defines Jeffrey’s. The kitchen composes skillfully garnished plates that are as appealing as the sophisticated art-filled surroundings. We suggest the seasonal vichyssoise or the seared foie gras with compressed local strawberries and marinated squash. The dynamic menu changes daily and might feature a gutsy entrée of lamb T-bone with soothing apple pudding and a Zinfandel cherry glaze or an elegant Alaskan halibut over a citrusy lime risotto. Some staples appear nightly, however, such as the crispy oysters. Worshipers of the cacao bean will enjoy the Valrhona chocolate Intemperance dusted with 14-karat gold flakes. To experience Jeffrey's cuisine to the fullest, go for the three- or five-course tasting menu with wine pairings. The extensive wine list represents sixteen countries (even with zero from South America) and untold rare varietals. Thankfully, the staff is well informed and can help you navigate with expertise; no surprise, really, when you consider that some of the servers have been there for 20-plus years. Half-price "small plates" such as prime Wagyu burgers are available during happy hour at the bar.
