Jimmy's Steer House Restaurant Review:
Jimmy’s Steer House offers a wallet-friendly menu in a no-frills environment. Appetizers include staples like boneless Buffalo tenders and potato skins, and also fried zucchini sticks with peppercorn dressing and coconut-crusted shrimp. Among Italian favorites are a chicken cutlet and eggplant Parmigiana, and the stuffed chicken Messina. But most come here for the steaks, such as the sirloin strip steak and marinated steak tips, and the slow-roasted Kansas City prime rib. Seafood dishes range from honey-glazed salmon to scallops Florentine and a Maryland crab meat pie. All of it is competent, none of it remarkable, but entrées are affordable. Oddly, the chicken teriyaki is a perennial hit, while an unusual surf ‘n’ turf option is lobster pie and teriyaki tips. Finish your meal with the Ghirardelli brownie hot fudge sundae.
