Klong Restaurant Review:
Set among the jumble of Asian restaurants on this bustling St. Mark’s Place block, subterranean Klong might be easy to pass by without even noticing. Inside, the maze-like dining room is usually chaotic with waiters running by and diners trying to find their tables. But sit back, order a Thai beer, and dig into the long menu. The Siamese paella, a novelty for sure, is a curry-flavored potpourri of fresh seafood and vegetables and could be enough for two. The lychee duck is also worth a try; the citrus fruits (including pineapple) go well with the duck. For something slightly less exotic, try the rama chicken---a rich, quasi-savory peanut sauce graces everyone’s favorite fowl.
