Krakatoa Restaurant Review:

Set in a charming olive green craftsman is this Golden Hill café and coffeehouse. Locals kick back on the wraparound deck enjoying coffee from West Coast roaster Caffe Calabria, along with gourmet sandwiches, homemade pastries, soups, salads and craft beers. A giant fig tree shades the deck, and bamboo chimes catch the wind, creating an inviting ambience. For breakfast, try Vesuvius, a scrambled egg sandwich with roasted peppers, feta cheese and fresh basil. For lunch, we recommend the Ubehebe, maple-cured bacon with roasted turkey, cream cheese and cranberry. Don't miss the Pinacate, a giant fresh fruit salad topped with cottage cheese, wildflower honey, granola and raisins. Violet lemonade, superfood smoothies and blood orange mimosas are nice drink options. Freshly made lemon bars, brownies and tarts fill the case as dessert choices, along with gluten-free sweets.
