La Tour Cafe Restaurant Review:

Thanh Lam found success with Ba-Le, a chain of Vietnamese take-out spots found throughout the state of Hawaii. He singlehandedly introduced the populace to the Vietnamese sandwich known as banh mi and became a baker in the process, finding it impossible to source the crusty French rolls necessary to the sandwich. Twenty-five-plus years later comes La Tour Cafe. It opens early daily for lunch, and dinner offers soups, salads, flatbread pizzas and sandwiches. Try the Kobe french dip or the chicken pesto panino. La Tour Cafe is also the perfect place to pick up delicate macarons in a variety of tropical flavors. The choices vary daily (12 to 16 at any given time) and can include yuzu, lilikoi or guava in addition to more standard salted caramel, chocolate or green tea.
