This rustic spot offers morning meals of bacon and eggs, breakfast sammies and Tex-Mex fare like migas and breakfast tacos. On Saturdays you can get homemade waffles and flaky biscuits with sausage gravy. But the real draw for the lunchtime crowd that lines up at the counter is the burgers --- thick, juicy, hand-formed patties that drip juice into the bun. There are double and triple meat burgers and the Firehouse special that comes with habanero sauce, cayenne butter and sliced jalapeños. Weaker souls can opt for a grilled cheese or a salad, but just about everyone goes for the fries or tater tots. Cold beers are an option but credit and debit cards are not. It's cash only.
