Lee & Rick's Restaurant Review:

After over 60 years of shucking some of the freshest oysters in Orlando, the ever-popular Lee & Rick's is showing its age. But it’s still the place to go if you have a hankering for fresh Apalachicola oysters. They don’t fly them in from anywhere else in the world, just truck them down from Florida’s Panhandle. There's a full menu, but everyone, it seems, is there for the buckets of oysters and a cold brew. The no-frills roadside hangout started with nine stools and nothing but oysters on the menu in 1950. Yes, there are tables, and some patrons actually order something other than oysters (such as smoked fish dip, corn dogs, Alaskan snow crab legs, clams, steamed and fried shrimp, and buffalo chicken wings), but devoted fans ignore everything else and belly up to the concrete bar to slurp the bivalves straight out of the shells by the bushel with packets of saltines, lemon slices, and plenty of Tabasco sauce or a dollop of horseradish. Now that's a satisfying dinner.
