What Lee’s Hamburgers lacks in ambience (and it definitely does) it makes up for with the juicy goodness of its burgers. Founded in the Central Business District of New Orleans in 1901, this place is a local burger institution that has expanded to the 'burbs with franchisees. Beef ground fresh daily still composes the ample two-handers at all Lee's locations; it’s embedded with chopped onions and the meat and onions caramelize as the burger cooks slowly, melding flavors. A number of burger restaurants have opened in the city over the past few years, but many locals stay loyal to this one. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m.
