Los Toltecos Restaurant Review:

This old-timer has grown from its Alexandria location to six other places, as far out as Winchester and Frederick, Maryland. Classifying its cuisine as “authentic Mexican,” management does add a few offerings that are more Tex/Mex than Mexican: that would include the super-rich “chori” dip of melted cheese with bits of chorizo and the taco and fajita salads. Besides the typical enchiladas, chimichangas and fajitas, patrons can enjoy more authentic dishes such as chiles poblanos, chicken mole, chochinita pibil and carnitas. Perhaps the most economical time to drop by is for lunch, when the special menu lets patrons order two entrées for less than $10.
