Lucas Park Grille Restaurant Review:
Strip steak crusted with bacon jam is a sure sign of a meat-centric restaurant. And the kitchen’s execution doesn’t disappoint, from a bison potpie to duck confit to seared scallops flavored with cumin. Even the addictively munchable popcorn appetizer is cooked in bacon fat. The dinner crowd seems to appreciate the wine list the most; afterward, cocktails and bottled beer are the drinks of choice. Not many restaurants can satisfy business lunchers by day, the steakhouse crowd in the evening, and a see-and-be-seen party crew at night, yet Lucas Park Grille has kept up the pace for years, with panache. The loft-style space boasts plasma TVs, 25-foot ceilings and eclectic lighting paired with stone fireplaces and cozy nooks.
