McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant Review:
McCormick & Schmicks fourth DC-area seafood restaurant has launched itself in Tysons Corner with the same full seafood menu and extensive wine list we all know and love. Under the direction of executive chef Thomas A. Kranz, the restaurant continues on its course of printing up new menus twice daily, which reflects just how fresh the seafood really is. They offer such beloved appetizers as the Cajun Firecracker Rolls with a luscious cashew sauce or many selections of oysters on the half shell before you launch into Jakes Famous étouffée or possibly the highly touted blackened catfish. Despite the twice-daily menu changes, several core items remain, such as the cedar-planked salmon. As usual the top portion of the menu lists the origins of the days catch; the oysters descriptions tell you how salty your bivalves will be. Save room for a conclusion, for the signature dessert, Jakes Famous Chocolate Truffle Cake, is a winner.
