Meze Restaurant Review:

Dark and mysterious, rather like an exotic Middle Eastern den, this comfy, middle-class eatery puts on its own tapas (known as mezè) display outlined suggestively in its menu: hot or cold, these encompass such dishes as lentil kofte, piyaz, haydari, and something mysteriously tagged as cerkez tavugu, or shredded chicken breast with walnuts, which we thought tasted much like an ordinary tuna salad combo. Since the portions are small, tapas-sized, really, you may end up ordering and ordering, but be warned, the bill inflates easily. Better to stick to just a few mezè offerings, then perhaps share one of the not-so-pricey entrées, such as the strip steak with onions and mushrooms, or the lamb and beef kebabs (nicely seasoned and generously portioned) in order to keep the tab at a minimum. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll be disappointed by the very skimpy selection of desserts, focusing on baklava and crème caramel, and you may be happier ending your meal with one of the luxury coffee drinks.
