The Morton's chain is all about quality steaks, salads and sides with a couple of seafood items thrown into the mix. The originator of the show-and-tell tableside menu, Morton's lays it on thick. But it's a good thick, and it's a fine place for good food and a good time in a clubby atmosphere. After a liquid cocktail, dive into a shrimp or jumbo (a word frequently appearing on the menu) lump crab meat cocktail to start. Chopped salad is a meal on its own. Meat and potato fans can go for the bone-in rib-eye or the strip steak au poivre, and the Lyonnaise potatoes. Sides are à la carte, and large enough to share. Morton's wine list is broad and diverse with a portfolio of producers from domestic and international wineries. There's nothing like a lush and rich piece of Key lime pie or Morton's legendary hot chocolate cake to wind up a steakhouse dinner.
