NYY Steak Restaurant Review:

The song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” takes on a whole new meaning when dining at NYY Steak in Yankee Stadium. With an interior that pays homage to the boys in pinstripes, this 115-seat restaurant offers an upscale alternative to standard stadium fare. NYY Steak is equipped with flat panel TVs continuously tuned to programs on the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network, making up for its lack of a field view. Walls boast original signatures of past and present Yankees, and framed pictures of baseball greats help create a club-like atmosphere. Expect a hearty line-up of traditional steakhouse items and signature dishes. Try the iceberg wedge salad equipped with a shot of vodka and blue cheese-stuffed olives to start; or the plump Maryland lump crab cakes with roasted corn salsa and caper rémoulade. Entrées go to bat with some of New York’s famous steakhouses: the 14-ounce USDA Prime New York strip steak with au poivre sauce is juicy and well prepared, and the larger-than-life sesame-crusted ahi is flavorful and flaky. Satisfying sides include crispy garlic steakhouse fries and steamed asparagus. Desserts hit a home run with the majestic NYY Steak 151 Volcano, made with a mound of vanilla bean ice cream covered in Heath Bar then flambéed tableside with a shot of 151. Note: On home game days, the restaurant is only open to ticket holders.
