O'Brien's Crabhouse Restaurant Review:

This no-nonsense, East Coast oyster bar opened a quarter century ago. It's not chichi, nor is it gourmet. Rather, it's plain and simple, and it still satisfies seafood cravings after all these years. You can get items from the raw bar, the steam pot or the deep fryer, and so it goes. But we prefer the clam bucket, a first-course-size portion of steamed clams in a fresh, orange-laced broth. Sop up the flavorful juice with fresh-from-the-oven onion bread. Another good bet is the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs on Monday nights, a feast accompanied by boiled potatoes and corn on the cob. Occasionally, you can score a 1 1/2-pound Maine lobster, too. Soft-shell crabs, when available, are among the best we've had. And for landlubbers, there's the ubiquitous strip steak. For dessert, try any of the ice cream treats or the Key lime pie. With your dinner, or before and after, select from a wide range of spirits, including 10-, 12- and 15-year single malt scotches and bottled artisan and tap beers. The wine list is somewhat more limited, but it offers a number of nice choices at reasonable prices.
