Palace Arms Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Palace Arms is a bastion of Denver tradition in the historic The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, Autograph Collection. The elegant Napoleonic-era room is the only place in Denver that continues to recommend a jacket and tie at dinner.

Food & Drinks: You can still get beef Wellington in puff pastry, although it's partnered with foie gras torchon. And Don't look for heart-healthy choices, but do expect gracious personal service from old-school servers, red leather banquettes and dramatic dark lighting in the evening. Impress your guests by summoning the waiter to prepare a classic Caesar salad for two, tableside. Since this is the American West, sir, you may wish to begin with the smoked elk carpaccio followed by the Colorado bison. The lady may prefer the arugula salad to start and Atlantic monkfish with golden roe, Jerusalem artichokes and shoyu as her main dish. Take your time pouring over the 900-plus selections on the wine list to find the perfect match.
