The Palm, Las Vegas, NV

The Palm Restaurant Review:

Expatriate New Yorkers flock to The Palm outposts in every city, and many consider this their home away from home in Las Vegas. Stroll down an indoor mall designed to look like the Appian Way into this Manhattan-style steakhouse for a relaxing change of pace and good steaks, such as the 24-ounce Prime-aged, bone-in rib-eye and the 36-ounce double-cut New York strip for two. The other house specialty --- Nova Scotia lobsters --- are sizeable as well, as are the prices you'll pay for them. For lunch, however, the moderately priced business special includes soup or salad; the choice of New York steak au poivre with brandy peppercorn sauce, chicken Parmigiana, Atlantic salmon or blackened Prime New York steak salad; vegetable of the day or linguine marinara; and flourless chocolate cake or Key lime pie. Among our favorites are lobster bisque, clams served oreganata- or casino-style, chicken Parmigiana, veal Marsala, asparagus fritti, seven-layer dark chocolate cake and carrot cake.
