Pauli's Restaurant Review:

There aren't many places like Pauli's in Boston's North End, where most restaurants focus solely on hearty Italian red sauce dishes. This casual sub shop serves inexpensive stacks of pancakes, slices of french toast and platters of eggs, bacon, home fries and corned beef hash to the masses each morning. When the afternoon hours roll in, they start churning out heaping sandwiches stuffed with Italian cold cuts, roast beef and turkey as well as traditional Italian favorites like meatball and provolone, chicken Parm and steak pizzaiola. Since it is the North End, after all, they offer a nice variety of pasta dinners like chicken, broccoli and ziti Alfredo, ravioli marinara and tortellini pesto. There is also a seven-ounce lobster roll or a massive 25-ounce "lobstitution" served on a grilled sub roll. Alcohol is not served here. Be sure to grab a double-chocolate brownie to go.
