THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Pikey Restaurant Review:

Though the name is a reference to the mischievous and derelict, this restaurant is anything but. Behind a nondescript façade of red and white, The Pikey is a reminder of the great Continental dining rooms of the 1920s. The menu, on the other hand, leans toward that of an English gastropub, focusing on organic, sustainable ingredients. A Bibb lettuce salad with radishes, snap peas and prosciutto is sharp with acid and textured with plenty of crunch, while burrata is as creamy as it should be, offset by a charred toast topped with English peas popping with brightness. Chicken thighs are cooked in vinegar, tender and flavorful, with an accompanying side of "thrice-cooked fries," so named for being deep-fried three times at different temperatures, making them fluffy and steaming on the inside, and extremely crispy on the outside. In addition, these can and should be ordered as a side. Fish ‘n’ chips are, unfortunately, a bit oily, but still rich in taste. Dessert choices are very limited, but include a well-executed chocolate mousse-like parfait. An eclectic selection of wines by the glass is available, but the true focus is the innovative cocktails.
