Porter's Prime Steak House Restaurant Review:

Tucked into a hotel near the Ontario Airport is one of the Inland Empire's best steakhouses. The room is clubby and sedate, in true steakhouse tradition, but a lighter color palette and soaring ceiling give the place a more casual ambience. Starters include a colossal shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and artichoke bruschetta. All the beef is USDA Prime, and the execution is generally quite good (steaks are nicely seared, sealing in the juices); consider the massive 18-ounce cowboy cut, bone-in rib-eye. Side dishes --- often the mark of a good steakhouse --- are solid, including a five-cheese mac ‘n’ cheese, sautéed forest mushrooms, creamed spinach infused with a touch of Pernod, and creamed corn that could give Lawry's a run for its money. Dessert includes a rustic apple tart, popcorn caramel cheesecake, and a layered chocolate cake with praline sauce. There are plenty of martinis and Cognacs, and the wine list is serviceable. It may not measure up to Ruth's Chris or Morton's, but Porter's is fine for business meetings or even a special occasion.
