Republic Restaurant Review:
Noodle shop and chic aren’t words that usually go together, but Republic is not your typical noodle shop. Think upscale Japanese cafeteria meets New York art scene and you’ll get an idea of what the place looks and feels like. But it’s the food that keeps this place packed: the noodles in spicy duck broth, tomato beef stew with whole-wheat noodles, grilled Japanese eggplant, pork chops on crushed Vietnamese rice and other Asian-inspired selections, not to mention courteous and fast service, all for under $10 a bowl or plate.
