Rockafeller's Restaurant Review:

Got a craving for oysters Rockefeller? This landmark is where Virginia Beach natives and visitors converge for seafood in the raw as well as hearty plates of pasta, local and sustainable fish and crab, and shrimp hushpuppies along with views of boats on Rudee Inlet. Don’t miss the Caesar salad (enhanced by chilled shrimp, char-grilled chicken or locally-caught grilled tuna) or the signature specials: prime rib every Monday night and two one-pound Maine lobsters every Thursday night. The Tidewater Steamer (a bucket of oysters, clams, shrimp, snow crab legs, crawfish, mussels, Italian sausage, corn on the cob, broccoli, celery, onions and red potatoes with Old Bay seasoning) and the Ultimate Seafood Platter (shrimp, crab cake and lightly fried fresh catch of the day) are great for those hankering for a taste of the sea. But landlubbers can opt for baby-back ribs or barbecue chicken. Lunch is a local and tourist favorite, too, as are Early Bird specials (3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. daily). But whenever you order, whatever you order, the she-crab soup and Jamaican rum cake are a must. Upstairs, the Little Rocks Bar & Patio offers space for overflow outdoor seating in season and private parties.
