THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rosebud Theater District Restaurant Review:
There’s no question that Rosebud Theater District does a red sauce (especially the vodka-tomato cream) proud --- or that its delicate house-made cavatelli (served several ways) is topnotch. The portions tend to run large, so share and share again. (Order the fried calamari to see what we mean.) Loop-lunchers descend on this place for brisk bites, so make a reservation; at night, it is a lot quieter. Favored dishes include the tender penne in a spicy marinara, beef Florentine bathed in garlic and oregano, and sausage and peppers, an appetizer if you can believe it. All pair nicely with a thoughtful wine list. An edited dessert selection includes options like ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu.
