Of course, one of the nation’s most renowned malls would sport a kid-friendly Ruby's, and this branch is located in South Coast Plaza’s Macy’s Home Store wing off Bear Street. Kids and adults alike delight in the house favorite: an old-fashioned burger with a side of fries and a cherry Coke or old-fashioned chocolate shake. There’s also more contemporary and healthy fare like salads and sandwiches, along with hot dogs, soups and chili if you're not in the mood for burgers. The original Ruby's was housed in a 1940s-era bait shack at the end of Newport’s Balboa Pier, and all of the locations maintain that retro feeling and down-home service.
