Santasiero's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
This venerable spaghetti establishment is one of the oldest in the city (since 1921) and stands in all its tri-colored Italian flag glory on a Niagara Street corner. Santasiero's front bar dining room and two back rooms are as comfortable as the comfort food served from the open kitchen. There is no veering from the tenet of Italian-American menus: fasoola, ravioli, anything parmigian, Italian wedding soup, spaghetti and healthy-sized meatballs. In recent years special sauces like the cajun mushroom, have moved from being a once-a-week special to being a daily presence. The service is friendly and the wine list is limited to appropriate chianti and adequate Sutter Home. The traditional Buffalo roast beef on kummelweck (or Italian bread) is a good bet, as Santasiero's way-chunky take on chili.
