Sazon Restaurant Review:

Walking into this TriBeCa eatery is like suddenly finding yourself in Puerto Rico or one of its neighboring countries. Latin music is blaring, waiters are hustling by, and diners are dancing in their seats and clapping along to the music. The food is almost an afterthought. Much of the menu, from the Caribbean and Puerto Rico, is gussied up into a high-end format. And for the most part, it works. The expansive space is light and airy, and the dishes tend to be heavy. The key is to start light with something like rum-glazed grilled shrimp or beef-stuffed plantains before moving on to the pernil, a massive hunk of juicy, tender pork. Other menu standouts include skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, ropa vieja, lobster gumbo soup, and huge bowls of vegetable and seafood paella.
