Searsucker Restaurant Review:

Situated off of the casino, Searsucker has an eclectic cowboy décor featuring brown leather booths, antler and rope chandeliers, and rustic wood and marble tables. A lively atmosphere prevails amid an open kitchen and outward-facing bar, which is well-suited for people-watching. The stars of the menu will be found in the shareable "Smalls" section, with unique dishes such as squid “sweet heat” --- calamari steak with a sweet-and-sour glaze; “eggs + bacon,” a mixture of poached egg, toasted brioche, hollandaise sauce and pork belly brined in apple cider vinegar; and jumbo lump crab cake with a creative Tabasco “caviar” made with gelatin and agar. Among the entrées, worthy choices include the scallops “east coast” served with Israeli couscous; and hanger “butcher steak” with chimichurri, fingerling potatoes and cipollini onion. You won’t regret splurging on a side or two, like the deep-fried Brussels sprouts enhanced with walnuts. Desserts, made in-house, range from a sundae with peanut butter gelato, peanut coffee “rocks,” caramel, brownies and brûléed banana to cookies and milk --- soft, warm chocolate chip cookies that arrive straight from the oven, with a cup of cold milk. To complement the fare are several handcrafted cocktails with whimsical names; the “Ballerina and the Czar” blends Belvedere Vodka, cucumber water, blueberry honey, lime and soda.
