Siam Thai Restaurant Review:

Established in 1999, Siam Thai has kept faith with the standard Thai menu it executes well. For openers, everyone gets a bowl of vegetable broth with bits of cooked chicken and rice. A shareable appetizer is the shrimp wrapped in rice dough and deep-fried, to be dipped into a sweet sauce. Complement this dish, or the massaman curry, with a glass of Frisk Riesling, slightly off-dry. Or get it with the pad thai, but make sure spice heat levels don't get out of hand. Specials include preparations with duck and seafood, along with a few highlighting chicken. We like the kitchen’s way with vegetables, such as vegetable stuffed “curry puffs,” for which lightly curried vegetables are enclosed in a pastry shell. For dessert, we suggest the Thai donuts and its accompanying sauce; the portion holds ten of these lovely little beignet-like treats. Dinner prices for main plates stay solidly under $20. Value? You bet. While the wine list isn't extensive, the selections are decent, as is the glassware, and many, in addition to that Frisk Riesling, go well with Thai fare, such as a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The d'Arenberg Shiraz should nicely handle the several duck options.
