The Six Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Taking its inspiration from a food and libation-themed art movement known as the “Society of Six,” The Six restaurant serves a menu of classic American tavern and seasonal fare. Each category of the menu is limited to six dishes, further paying tribute to this movement. From the starters, the turkey Sloppy Joe sliders are messy yet worth it, with slow-cooked, slightly sweet turkey heaped on buttery brioche rolls and cut with the acid and crunch from thick-cut fried pickles. Of the pizzas, the version topped with grilled pumpkin, sage and mozzarella is a winner, the flavors unexpected and comforting, finished with the bitterness of a perfectly charred crust. The burger from the entrées is a classic, topped with blue cheese, tomato, onion rings, butter lettuce and Thousand Island dressing, while the potpie was a little soggy when we tried it. Beers and wines are also limited to six per category. The draught selection has options that pair well with food, like Belgium’s Delirium Tremens --- a slightly sweet and nutty tripel. Among the desserts, we opted for the banana cream pie, which tasted more like a mousse.
