Spitz Restaurant Review:

Occidental College grads Bryce Rademan and Robert Wicklund opened this smart-looking fast food joint, specializing in the döner kebab (a sandwich, popular in Europe, made from Turkish-style, spit-roasted meat). The Spitz version is generously stuffed in between focaccia or on a lavash wrap with onions, peppers, cucumber, cool tzatziki sauce and chili sauce. One of the best sandwiches in Eagle Rock, “The Classic” is a combination of beef and lamb, though the version with zesty feta cheese and pepperoncini is also good. In addition to the sandwiches, Spitz serves salads, falafel and "Street Cart" fries topped with garlic aïoli, feta, onion, pepper, tomato, olives and chili sauce. Cinnamon-sugar pita strips with chocolate dipping sauce are available for dessert.
